Scott Feldman pitched six sharp innings and Josh Hamilton had four hits, including the go-ahead two-run double, leading the Texas Rangers to a 4-1 win over the Cleveland Indians on Thursday.

Feldman (12-4) worked out of trouble several times after allowing a first-inning run in winning his third straight start. The right-hander improved to 8-1 with a 3.33 earned-run average in 10 road starts.

Hamilton hit .486 (18 for 37) with a homer and eight runs batted in during the Rangers' 10-game trip, raising his batting average from .220 to .260.

Texas trails Boston by half a game in the American League wild-card standings and plays host to the Red Sox the next three games.
