Indians rally to defeat Orioles
Andy Marte hit a three-run homer following a 1-hour, 37-minute rain delay in the fifth inning, Jhonny Peralta also connected and the Cleveland Indians rallied to beat the Baltimore Orioles, 5-3, Saturday night.
Marte’s shot off Chris Ray erased a 2-1 deficit in the sixth inning. Peralta’s homer, off rookie Chris Tillman in the fourth, tied the game at 1-1.
Matt LaPorta had a career-best four hits for the Indians -- twice his previous high. LaPorta has a hit in all 10 games since his recall from triple-A Columbus, and Marte also extended his hitting streak to 10 games, a new career high.
