Cal State Fullerton falls to host Utah State, 83-60

at Utah State 83, Cal State Fullerton 60: Tai Wesley scored 13 points and three other Aggies added 12 to lead Utah State past Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday night at Logan, Utah. Wesley also grabbed a game-high seven rebounds. It was a second-round game in the three-day Basketball Travelers Invitational, hosted by Utah State (8-4). The Titans (4-5), who were led by Orane Chin with 15 and Eric Williams with 10, shot only 19 of 53 from the field while the Aggies put in 57% from the field and nine of 15 from the three-point line. The Aggies burst to a 37-16 lead in the first half before Fullerton went on a 10-0 run. Utah State led at halftime, 44-30.

at Colorado 92, Cal State Northridge 58: Dwight Thorne had 19 points, leading five Colorado players in double figures, and the Buffaloes scored a season high in routing Cal State Northridge at Boulder, Colo. The Buffaloes (7-4) improved to 6-0 at home. Northridge (4-7), which has lost all five of its road games this season, was led by Vinnie McGhee with 13 points and Mark Hill with 12. Colorado outshot Northridge, 56.1% to 32.7%, from the field and made 10 of its 25 three-point attempts, one shy of its season high. The Buffaloes hit seven three-pointers in the opening 20 minutes.
