Update: Right wing Corey Perry will return to the lineup after serving a four-game suspension for elbowing Philadelphia’s Claude Giroux in the head Jan. 2. Center Todd Marchant, who missed Friday’s 4-3 loss to Tampa Bay because of an injured left hand, is scheduled to skate Sunday. The Ducks are 3-5-2 over their last 10 games and have allowed three goals or more in seven. The Devils announced Saturday they agreed in principle with Brendan Shanahan on a one-year contract. Shanahan, who will be 40 late this month, played his first four NHL seasons with the Devils and is 11th on the career goal scoring list with 650. He will skate on his own before joining the team at an unspecified date.
