The California Endowment has committed more than $95,000 to support start-up activities for the recently launched Nathaniel Anthony Ayers Foundation, it was announced Wednesday.
The foundation, which bears the name of a homeless musician profiled by Los Angeles Times columnist Steve Lopez, will support organizations that provide arts programs to the mentally ill.
