Padres cruise past Giants, 10-4

San Diego 10, at San Francisco 4: Kevin Kouzmanoff and Eliezer Alfonzo each hit three-run home runs, Will Venable also hit a home run and set a career high with four hits, and the Padres ended a season-high losing streak at seven games. San Diego, which had scored only six runs in its previous four games, had that many in the first three innings against starter Barry Zito.

Florida 8, at Arizona 1: Josh Johnson blanked Arizona through six innings and Cody Ross drove in three runs with two doubles. Despite the loss, the Diamondbacks won seven of nine games going into the All-Star break and were 5-2 on the homestand.

at Chicago 7-2, St. Louis 3-4: Ryan Ludwick hit two two-run home runs for the Cardinals in the second game, and in the opener, Carlos Zambrano hit a home run for the third time this season and earned a win.

at Philadelphia 5, Pittsburgh 2: Pedro Feliz hit a first-inning grand slam and J.A. Happ gave up one run in seven innings for the Phillies, who won their fifth game in a row.

at New York 9, Cincinnati 7: Gary Sheffield drove in three runs and Daniel Murphy drove in two for the Mets. Brian Schneider led off the seventh inning with New York’s first home run in 80 innings.

at Houston 5, Washington 0: Kaz Matsui’s three-run home run led the Astros. The win gave the Astros a 3-1 series victory and leaves them at .500 heading into the All-Star break.

Dodgers 7, at Milwaukee 4: Orlando Hudson hit two home runs and Clayton Kershaw won his fifth consecutive road start.
