Unlucky day

Share

One would think that on the very day one of our local sports stars gets elected into their sport’s hall of fame, The Times would have a huge picture of that athlete on the front page. Instead, we got a huge picture of steroid user Manny Ramirez in an Isotopes uniform while Luc Robitaille has his story relegated to the bottom corner of the page.

I know that baseball, the Dodgers and Manny are wildly more popular than hockey and the Kings. For one day, though, it would have been nice for hockey to rule the front page and to honor one of the most deserving athletes the fans of Los Angeles have ever had the privilege to watch play his game.
