Colby Rasmus drove in a run with a double in the 10th inning Sunday, and the St. Louis Cardinals overcame five Cincinnati home runs, including two in the ninth inning, to beat the Reds, 8-7.

Rasmus hit the double against Francisco Cordero (0-2), who is perfect in nine save opportunities but has lost twice when pitching with the score tied.

Jerry Hairston Jr. and Micah Owings, the Reds’ fifth starter and one of their top pinch-hitters, hit home runs in the ninth inning against Ryan Franklin (1-0) to tie the score, 7-7. Franklin had converted all nine save chances and hadn’t given up a run.
