Monday NFL film review

A common postgame response to questions after NFL games is, “I have to wait to see the film.” Times NFL writer Sam Farmer sorts through the best of Monday’s film review:
::
Jim Schwartz, Detroit coach, on a rumored rift between Lions quarterback Matt Stafford and receiver Calvin Johnson partly based on TV shots from the sideline:
“Good gracious, if there was a camera on every single person on every single play, you could read between the lines on a million different things.”
::
Michael Vick, seldom-used by Philadelphia, to NBC on the possibility of staying with the Eagles next season:
“It would be hard. It would be an everyday struggle. But I would have to take that time to hone my skills and get better.”
::
Donte Whitner, Buffalo safety, to ESPN on the suggestion of NBC’s Tony Dungy that Vick could wind up with the Bills:
“I believe that Michael Vick would be a good fit, and I would encourage whoever to bring Michael Vick in.”
::
Tommie Harris, Chicago defensive tackle, on being ejected in the first minute Sunday after officials spotted him punching prone Arizona guard Deuce Lutui:
“In the six years I’ve been here I’ve never done anything like that, and he kind of pushed me to my limits and I apologize for all that.”
::
Peter Schaeffer, agent for Larry Johnson, to the Associated Press on the Chiefs cutting the onetime star running back:
“A part of him is excited and a part of him is very regretful. There’s a lot of feelings going on right now. It’s analogous to breaking up with a girlfriend. Maybe you saw it coming, but it still hurts when it happens.”
::
Chad Ochocinco, Cincinnati receiver, on his (scuttled) plans to hand an official a dollar bill in hopes of jokingly bribing him into ruling a catch was made inbounds:
“I was just being me.”
