at Central Florida 37, at No. 13 Houston 32: Brett Hodges outplayed Cougars quarterback Case Keenum, and Brynn Harvey rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns as the Knights (6-4, 4-2) ended the Cougars’ five-game winning streak in a Conference USA game. Harvey scored on runs of one, 41 and seven yards, the last set up by an interception that stopped Keenum’s streak of consecutive passes without an interception at 123. Hodges completed 21 of 25 passes for 241 yards and one touchdown. Keenum finished 33 for 56 for 377 yards and three scores for Houston (8-2, 4-2).

In other C-USA games: Joe Webb passed for 378 yards, threw three touchdowns and rushed for another score to lead Alabama Birmingham (5-5, 4-2) to a 31-21 win over host Memphis (2-8, 1-5). . . . Kyle Padron completed 17 of 24 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns to lead host Southern Methodist (6-4, 5-1) to a 35-31 win over Texas El Paso (3-7, 2-4). . . . In games involving independent teams: Ricky Dobbs ran for five touchdowns and host Navy (8-3) secured a 35-18 win over visiting Delaware (6-4). Dobbs leads the nation with 22 touchdowns, breaking Bill Ingram’s Navy record of 21 set in 1917. . . . Patrick Mealy ran 16 times for 136 yards and a touchdown to lead host Army (4-6) to a 22-17 victory over Virginia Military Institute (2-8).

In a Mid-American conference game: Tim Hiller threw for 275 yards and four touchdowns to lead visiting Western Michigan (5-6, 4-3) to a 35-14 win over Eastern Michigan (0-10, 0-6).

In Sun Belt Conference games: Dwight Dasher threw two touchdowns passes to spark Middle Tennessee State (7-3, 5-1) to a 34-17 victory over visiting Louisiana Lafayette (5-5, 3-3). . . .
