Did anyone notice during the Angels’ 7-6 win over the Red Sox, how Torii Hunter had to go to the Green Monster and close the door that had “mysteriously” opened during the last inning? I believe that Nick Adenhart came on to the field to get ready to celebrate with his team.

Thank you, Times sportswriters, for motivating the Dodgers and Angels to sweeps of the Cardinals and Red Sox. Maybe that was the psychology. If so, it worked. If not and it was just the faithless and wrongheaded attitude of your writers, then shame on you.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Plaschke’s article-in-waiting on how Manny destroyed the Dodgers season. R.I.P.

Is it just me or does anyone else miss the days when you celebrated with champagne in the locker room only after winning a championship?
