Hawpe, Barmes lead the Rockies

DENVER —
Brad Hawpe hit a home run and Colorado held on for an 11-10 victory over San Diego, which rallied with four runs in the ninth inning.
Clint Barmes had an inside-the-park home run for the Rockies, who moved five games ahead of San Francisco in the NL wild-car race.
Right fielder Edgar Gonzalez suffered a partially separated left shoulder after diving for Barmes’ drive.
