Alex Ovechkin is point man in Capitals’ 6-1 rout of Maple Leafs

Alex Ovechkin had his 29th goal and a career-high four assists, Mike Knuble scored twice, and the Washington Capitals got 28 saves from Jose Theodore in a 6-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday night.
The five points were a season high for Ovechkin, the reigning two-time NHL MVP.
Both of Knuble’s goals came in the second period, boosting the Capitals’ lead to 4-0. He has five goals in his last five games.
