Share

Known for her wit, sparkling writing and caustic criticism, Dorothy Parker was one of the 20th century’s finest scribes. Lesser known is the fact that she was also a talented poet, penning more than 300 poems for various publications during her early years. Parkerphile Stuart Y. Silverstein has gathered 122 of these in the book “Not Much Fun: The Lost Poems of Dorothy Parker” and has graced it with an informative and authoritative introduction. He will be at Book Soup to discuss it and sign copies of the book. Book Soup, 8818 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood. 7 p.m. Friday. (310) 659-3110. www.booksoup.com.
