Academic Decathlon: A caption in some editions of Tuesday’s Section A that accompanied a photo of two El Camino Real High School students celebrating their team’s victory in the California Academic Decathlon misspelled Daniel de Haas’ last name as de Hass.

Scene & Heard: In Sunday’s Image section, a caption with the Scene & Heard column identified a man as Louis Vuitton’s Daniel Lalonde. The man is Bill Wackermann, senior vice president and publishing director of Glamour magazine.

Pop-up restaurants: An article in the March 7 Travel section on New York’s pop-up restaurants -- eating places that “pop up” in the site of another business and are not permanent -- incorrectly reported the closing date of a temporary restaurant called Sandwiched as May 30. This pop-up inside the Whitney Museum of American Art will remain open through the fall.

Geo Quiz: The Geo Quiz in the March 14 Travel section featured the Sierra Maestra, a mountain range with a history of guerrilla warfare, and asked readers to identify which country that range is in. The answer is Cuba, but the photo that accompanied the quiz was of the Viñales Valley, which is also in Cuba.

Charlie Sheen: An article in Saturday’s Calendar about Charlie Sheen’s court appearance in Aspen, Colo., on domestic violence charges said that the actor returned to work “earlier this week.” In fact, Sheen’s show “Two and a Half Men” was on a production break last week. The show resumed production with Sheen Tuesday.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: In Tuesday’s Calendar, a caption for a photo of honoree Iggy Pop performing with Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, accompanying an article on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions, misspelled Armstrong’s first name as Billy. In addition, honoree David Geffen was quoted as saying he had “no talent at all, expect that I could recognize and enjoy it in others.” The word “expect” should have been “except.”
