Batch, a 13-year veteran, was pressed into duty on Sept. 19 at Tennessee when Dennis Dixon went down with a left knee injury.

Tomlin is also optimistic that nose tackle Chris Hoke will play against the Ravens. Hoke sprained his knee near the end of the Tampa Bay game. Right guard Trai Essex, who missed the Buccaneers game because of a sprained left ankle, is questionable for Sunday’s game, Tomlin said.
