Filmmaker Joe Wright, whose movie credits include “Atonement,” “Pride and Prejudice” and the upcoming “Anna Karenina” will make his stage directorial debut this coming season at the Donmar Warehouse in London, the company announced this week.

Wright is to direct a revival production of “Trelawney of the Wells” by Arthur Wing Pinero, which is set to officially open on Feb. 25.

The Donmar’s season is also to feature an all-female staging of Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar,” starring Harriet Walter and directed by Phyllida Lloyd; and a revival of Conor McPherson’s “The Weir.”

The new season, beginning this fall, was organized by the company’s new artistic director, Josie Rourke, who took over from Michael Grandage last year.

Grandage’s staging of “Red” by John Logan is currently running at the Mark Taper Forum and is set to close on Sunday. The production, starring Alfred Molina as Mark Rothko, originated at the Donmar in 2009.

Wright’s new movie, “Anna Karenina,” starring frequent collaborator Keira Knightley, is set to open in the U.S. in November.

His other film directorial credits include “The Soloist,” based on a series of columns by Steve Lopez of the L.A. Times, about his relationship with Nathaniel Ayers, a homeless musician.
