Francesca Eastwood, daughter of Clint, is Miss Golden Globe 2013

Francesca Eastwood, daughter of Clint Eastwood and actress Frances Fisher, was named Miss Golden Globe 2013 by the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. on Thursday night at an event in West Hollywood.

The 19-year-old, who’ll help out during the Jan. 13 ceremony, follows in the footsteps of other celeb kids who’ve filled the role, including recent choices Rumer Willis, Gia Mantegna, Lorraine Nicholson, Lily Costner and Mavis Spencer, daughter of Alfre Woodard. Last year’s pick was Rainey Qualley, daughter of Andie McDowell.

And sometimes lightning strikes twice: Melanie Griffith helped out in 1975, with her daughter Dakota Johnson doing the honors in 2006. Within the Eastwood family, Kathryn Eastwood, another daughter of Clint’s, hit the stage in 2005.

“Everybody keeps asking me if I’m nervous — and now I feel like I should be!,” Francesca Eastwood told E! News, noting that she was honored to be selected. “Maybe for falling over on stage I’m nervous about!”

No worries, though — she says she has her dad to teach her how to stay poised.

Francesca, who is enrolled at USC, stars on the E! Network reality show “Mrs. Eastwood & Company” along with stepmom Dina Eastwood and half-sister Morgan Eastwood.
