George Clooney presented his new fiancee Amal Alamuddin with an engagement ring estimated at 7 carats when he proposed to her last week, according to a new report.

The longtime bachelor and multiple-Oscar winner helped design the sizable sparkler, which features an “ethically mined” emerald-cut diamond flanked by two tapered baguettes set in platinum, People reported.

The ring was photographed when Clooney, 52, and Alamuddin, 36, attended a party for Cindy Crawford’s husband, Rande Gerber, in Santa Barbara on Sunday. The ring glitters on her finger as she rests her hand on Clooney’s shoulder in a photo featured on People’s cover this week.

“The Monuments Men” star, who’s been linked to the British international lawyer since October 2013, popped the question April 22 on bended knee, the mag said, citing insiders.

Clooney reportedly met his Lebanese-born fiancee’s family in March during a visit to Dubai, where he spent time on a yacht with her siblings.

“They found George very easy to get along with, cool,” one of Alamuddin’s family members told the mag. “They felt at ease with him immediately.”

Kate Coyne, People’s assistant managing editor, said in a Wednesday appearance on the “Today” show that Alamuddin’s family member told the mag that wedding bells could be ringing as soon as September, though there was “no rush.”

“This was a huge step for him to propose, something of a whirlwind courtship,” Coyne said. “So we ... could be waiting a while.”

News broke on Saturday that Clooney and Alamuddin were affianced when they were spotted dining at Nobu in Malibu with Crawford and Gerber. Actor Edward Norton stopped by the couple’s table and Clooney reportedly told him about the engagement.

On Monday, Alamuddin’s law firm extended its congratulations to the bride- and groom-to-be, and Clooney’s parents Nicholas and Nina Clooney also shared their praises.

Nina Clooney described Alamuddin as “brilliant,” “bright” and her son’s equal on an intellectual level. “Amal’s world couldn’t be more different from the Hollywood lifestyle,” she said, according to the Daily Mail.

So how did Alamuddin snag the eternal bachelor? She played hard to get, the Daily Mail said, allegedly refusing the director-producer twice before agreeing to go out with him.

“Clooney asked her out for dinner, and she put him off twice, saying she was too busy, before accepting the third time,” an insider said.
