Ginger Zee of ‘Good Morning America’ is expecting her first child
There’s a baby in Ginger Zee’s forecast: The ABC News chief meteorologist is expecting her first child in December.
The TV personality, 34, shared the news on Monday’s broadcast of ABC’s “Good Morning America” following a package of all her work-related expeditions.
“This is the most nervous I’ve been in a while,” Zee said after making the announcement.
It’ll be the first child for Zee and her husband, Ben Aaron, an NBC correspondent whom she wed in Michigan last June.
Zee has hiked in Nepal, para-glided over the Andes and flew a drone into a volcano in Iceland, but she said motherhood is her “most extreme adventure” yet.
“All the other adventures promise you will return home,” she said. “This is like, when you get home, the adventure is there and that’s the big difference and it’s why it’s so emotional for me.”
Zee added: “I’ll do anything but this scares me.”
The meteorologist also shared a picture from her sonogram on Twitter and fielded weather-related baby names from followers.
