Gold Rush: The unscripted series, formerly known as “Gold Rush: Alaska,” returns with a recap episode and the season premiere (8 and 9 p.m. Discovery).

Grimm: In this new series, that a Portland, Ore., detective (David Giuntoli) deals with the monsters from the Grimm fairy tales and hidden from the rest of the world. But he can see their true faces underneath their human disguises. Russell Hornsby and Silas Weir Mitchell also star (9 p.m. NBC).

20/20: In this new episode, four one-percenters (billionaires) tell their stories and offer advice to the 99% (10 p.m. ABC).

Boss: With a new force entering the mayoral race weeks in advance of the primary, Kane (Kelsey Grammer) and his crew must flex their political muscles to stay on top. Connie Nielsen and Kathleen Robertson also star (10 p.m. Starz).

Flying Wild Alaska: Returning tonight for a new season, this unscripted series follows a family who run a tiny airline serving the remotest outposts of the 49th state (10:09 p.m. Discovery).

SPECIALS

Hostage Crisis Massacre: This new special recalls the August 2010 incident in Manila, where man armed with a gun created a deadly 11-hour international spectacle that played out on live television (5 and 8 p.m. National Geographic).

MOVIES

The Addams Family: Raul Julia, Anjelica Huston and Christopher Lloyd star in this 1991 theatrical adaptation of the offbeat 1960s sitcom (7 p.m. ABC Family).

SPORTS
