Rocket City Rednecks: This new documentary series profiles five self-proclaimed “rednecks” from Huntsville, Ala., home of NASA’s Marshall Flight Center, who all have advanced degrees (6, 6:30 and 7; 9, 9:30 and 10 p.m. National Geographic).

Free Agents: In this new episode Alex (Hank Azaria) is dismayed to find Stephen (Anthony Head) has assigned Emma (Natasha Leggero) to a new account, while, Helen (Kathryn Hahn) sees a therapist (Ian Anthony Dale) (8:30 p.m. NBC).

Suburgatory: A single dad (Jeremy Sisto) moves himself and his daughter (Jane Levy), out of Manhattan and into a house in the suburbs. Cheryl Hines, Alan Tudyk and Carly Chaikin also star in this new sitcom (8:30 p.m. ABC).

Criminal Minds: Rossi (Joe Mantegna) and his colleagues are in rural Oklahoma, but Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) is still angry with JJ and Prentiss (A.J. Cook, Paget Brewster) over their deception about Prentiss’ “death.” Andy Milder and Tracy Middendorf guest star in this new episode (9 p.m. CBS).

Nova: The repeat episode “Japan’s Killer Quake” recalls the March 11 earthquake, the worst to ever strike Japan, that spawned a deadly tsunami (9 p.m. KOCE). The new episode “Surviving the Tsunami” documents the experiences of those how survived the disaster (10 p.m. KOCE).

MythBusters: Adam and Jamie test the theory that a motorcycle runs greener and cleaner than a car in this new episode (9 p.m. Discovery).

Happy Endings: Zachary Knighton, Elisha Cuthbert and Eliza Coupe star in the season premiere (9:30 p.m. ABC).

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: When a family is murdered, three people come forward claiming they did the deed — each for a different reason. Ted Danson, Marg Helgenberger, George Eads and Jorja Fox star in this new episode (10 p.m. CBS).

The Real World: Seven strangers move in together in San Diego in the season premiere (10 p.m. MTV).

SPORTS

Baseball: The Texas Rangers visit the Angels (5 p.m. FSN); the Dodgers visit the Arizona Diamondbacks (6:30 p.m. FS Prime).
