Report: Robert Pattinson new face of Dior men’s fragrance
Robert Pattinson may catch a whiff of supplemental income: The actor has reportedly signed on as the new face of men’s fragrances from Dior.
The terms of the alleged deal would fetch Pattinson around $12 million over three years and multiple ad campaigns.
“Rob likes the brand,” a source told E! Online, who broke the news on Monday. A rep for Pattinson and U.S. public relations for Dior did not return requests for confirmation at press time.
This would be the first significant endorsement for Rob, as he’s focused primarily on developing his film resume in between installments of his star-making franchise “The Twilight Saga.”
While his wry sensibilities might suggest he’d be out of place in a campaign with such high-fashion DNA, take a closer look: Pattinson’s always been adventurous with his look.
There’s the bold plum-colored suit he rocked for the “Eclipse” premiere in 2010 and the powder-blue number he donned promoting “Cosmopolis” after his initial split with Stewart in July (both were by Gucci). Not to mention the always-difficult print shirt he got praise for during a recent press trip to Australia.
The side job will also give him something else in common with his seemingly on-again girlfriend Kristen Stewart -- the actress and ‘Twlight” female lead is the face of Balenciaga’s Florabotanica.
Word of advice from the Ministry, Rob: don’t go too abstract, lest you make the same blunder Brad Pitt did with his recent Chanel No. 5 ad spot. Criticism was, well, inevitable.
