‘Once Upon a Time’ stars Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas engaged
“Once Upon a Time” costars Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas are engaged!
This isn’t boding well for young girls with fairy tale-like princess aspirations...
Reps for the costars, who play the often-embattled Snow White and Prince Charming on the ABC drama, confirmed the news to People on Friday.
The actor proposed to the “Big Love” alum on Wednesday in Los Angeles, the mag said.
“We are so thrilled to announce our engagement and can’t wait to celebrate with our friends and family, including our second family at ‘Once Upon a Time,’” the couple said in a statement.
This is the the second marriage for Dallas, 31, and the first for Goodwin, 35, who both took to Twitter on Friday to revel in their big news.
“From my soon-2-b-Mrs-Dallas head 2 my soon-2-b-Mrs-Dallas toes, I’m oh-so grateful 4 your well-wishes! THANK U! -The Future Mrs @joshdallas,” wrote Goodwin.
“Thanks to all of you for the outpouring of love and congrats! @ginnygoodwin you have made me a very happy man!” Dallas added.
The couple met while filming the fantasy series, which debuted in 2011 and is currently in its third season. Dallas reportedly had an instant connection with the actress, even though he was married to “Sherlock” star Lara Pulver when they met, E! News reported. He and Goodwin were “just friends” until he split with Pulver in the fall of 2011 because he was away shooting the show in Canada.
Goodwin also had a breakup that year, calling off her engagement to Joey Kern in May 2011, E! said. The couple later made their relationship public in April 2012.
“It hit me like a blinding light,” Dallas said of falling for Goodwin. “I thought, ‘I’m in trouble now.’”
The couple has not yet shared a wedding day, but since they’re in the genre of fairy tales, here’s to their happily ever after!
