One man bit another man and was arrested on suspicion of mayhem Saturday night as Beyonce and Jay Z’s “On the Run” tour opened the first of two performances at the Rose Bowl, Pasadena police said.

Police described an incident that sounded like a real-life mash-up of Beyonce’s “Drunk in Love” and “Put a Ring on It” and Jay Z’s “99 Problems.” It all started when one man was accused of groping a woman at the concert.

“A fight ensued between her boyfriend and the suspect,” Lt. John Luna said. The suspect then bit the boyfriend’s finger, Luna said. Though early reports said the end of the boyfriend’s finger had been bitten off, Luna would say only that the bite caused “serious injury.”

Robert Alcaraz-Garnica, 25, of San Diego was arrested inside the stadium and transferred to the L.A. County jail on Sunday on suspicion of sexual battery and mayhem, police said.

Ten other arrests were made Saturday at the Bey and Jay show — eight related to drunkenness and two related to ticket scalping, police said.

The crowd for the concert Saturday was about 55,000. Sunday numbers were expected to be slightly smaller.
