The Middle At a St. Patrick’s Day, party Axl (Charlie McDermott) runs into one former girlfriend after another until Hutch (Alphonso McCauley) suggests that the universe must be trying to tell him something, and urges Axl to speak with each old flame to figure it out. Atticus Shaffer, Patricia Heaton and Neil Flynn also star. 8 p.m. ABC

New Girl Schmidt and Cece (Max Greenfield, Hannah Simone) worry whether their new home is safe enough, and Aly (guest star Nasim Pedrad) makes a confession that surprises Winston (Lamorne Morris). Curtis Armstrong (“Moonlighting”) guest stars in this new episode. 8 p.m. Fox

NCIS: New Orleans An attack by a Special Ops officer on several men in a bar launches a city-wide hunt by Pride (Scott Bakula) and his team. Steven Weber reprises his recurring role as New Orleans’ mayor, and Chelsea Field — Bakula’s wife — also is back in her recurring guest role. Vanessa Ferlito, Rob Kerkovich and CCH Pounder also star. 9 p.m. CBS. A second new episode follows at 10.

This Is Us The time-jumping family drama ends its first season. Milo Ventimigila, Mandy Moore, Chrissy Metz, Sterling K. Brown and Justin Hartley star. 9 p.m. NBC

Fresh Off the Boat Louis (Randall Park) is disappointed when he plans a special guys weekend just for him and Eddie (Hudson Yang), but Eddie invites his buddies over for a sleepover instead, where Eddie and his friends have a secret plan to drink beer for the first time. 9 p.m. ABC

Bones Betty White reprises her guest role as Dr. Beth Mayer, who advises Brennan (Emily Deschanel) on staying engaged and dedicated at work. David Faustino (“Married ... With Children”) also guest stars. 9 p.m. Fox

The Real O’Neals The sitcom ends its second season as Murray (guest star Matt Oberg) plans to propose to Eileen (Martha Plimpton) but worries about what Pat’s (Jay R. Ferguson) reaction will be. Noah Galvin, Bebe Wood and Matt Shively also star. 9:30 p.m. ABC
