This Is Us Gerald McRaney returns as the doctor who delivered Rebecca and Jack’s (Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia) babies as young Kate goes to the hospital on Christmas Eve with appendicitis. 9 p.m. NBC
Fresh Off the Boat Gail O’Grady appears as herself in the new episode as Eddie and Alison (Hudson Yang, guest star Isabella Crouch) hit choppy waters while marking their first year of dating by attending an update of “Romeo and Juliet.” 9 p.m. ABC
Scream Queens Zayday and Chamberlain’s (Keke Palmer, James Earl) investigation of the Green Meanie killer has a startling outcome in this new episode, directed by series star Jamie Lee Curtis. 9 p.m. Fox
The Real O’Neals Kenny (Noah Galvin) joins Jimmy’s (Matt Shively) wrestling team, but the experience is nearly ruined when a competitor from a rival schools refuses to wrestle him. 9:30 p.m. ABC
NCIS: New Orleans A kid who saw the murder of his petty-officer aunt — a member of the U.S. Navy Band — is placed in Pride’s (Scott Bakula) protective custody in this new episode. Lucas Black, Vanessa Ferlito, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell and CCH Pounder also star. 10 p.m. CBS
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The fate of Los Angeles and its population are in the hands of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Ghost Rider (guest star Gabriel Luna) in the adventure series’ winter finale. John Hannah, Jason O’Mara and Mallory Jansen also continue their guest roles. 10 p.m. ABC
