Jingle & Bell’s Christmas Star: This new animated special — done in the style of the classic Rankin/Bass specials — tells the story a husky puppy (Jingle) and his new friend (Bell), as they discover the meaning of Christmas (7 and 8 p.m. Hallmark).

Frosty the Snowman: An animated adaptation of Romeo Muller’s story kicks off an evening of animated holiday fair on at 8 p.m. on CBS. The sequel “Frosty Returns” follows at 8:30. “Hoops & Yoyo Ruin Christmas” airs at 9 p.m., followed by the premiere of “It’s a SpongeBob Christmas” at 9:30
