SUNDAY

If you were hoping for a Ricky Gervais four-peat, you are out of luck, my friend. This year, it’ll be gal pals Tina Fey and Amy Poehler manning — make that “womaning” — the podium at “The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards.” (NBC, 5 and 8 p.m.)

Remember how Sarah Jessica Parker would get splashed by that bus with her picture on it in the opening credits of “Sex and the City”? We’ve seen similar ads for the return of “Girls” on buses all over town. So Lena Dunham, below, would be well-advised to stand back from the curb. (HBO, 9 p.m.)

MONDAY

OMG! Speaking of “SATC,” it’s “The Carrie Diaries.” AnnaSophia Robb plays a teenage version of the character originated by the aforementioned SJP in this 1980s-set sort-of prequel. (KTLA, 8 p.m.)

TUESDAY

The still-spunky Mary Tyler Moore, the indefatigable Betty White and the immortal Lucille Ball (“I Love Lucy” is still in syndication 60 years later) are among the “Funny Ladies” featured in this new edition of “Pioneers of Television.” (KOCE, 8 p.m.)

Hail to the chiefs: “Ultimate Guide to the Presidents” is an exhaustive four-night survey of all those who’ve ever held the highest office in the land. Or, you can go “Inside Obama’s Presidency” on a new “Frontline.” (History, 9 p.m.; KOCE, 10 p.m.)

WEDNESDAY

Simon, gone. Paula, long gone. That other one? Kara, was it? Also gone. Ellen, Steven, Jennifer — gone, gone, gone. But Randy is still there, joined now by Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban as “American Idol” launches its 12th season. (Fox, 8 p.m.)

THURSDAY

Men behaving badly: Charlie Sheen’s “Anger Management” is back with a double shot, followed by the return of the spy-spoof “Archer.” Then, Aussie comic Jim Jefferies stoops to conquer in the new sitcom “Legit.” (FX, 9, 9:30, 10 and 10:30 p.m.)

FRIDAY

When “Fringe” first appeared, we dismissed it as an “X-Files” wannabe. We were so wrong. And now, sadly, this formidable science fiction drama is saying farewell after five mind-bending seasons. With Joshua Jackson and Anna Torv. (Fox, 8 p.m.)

SATURDAY

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade. When your husband hands you divorce papers … make pastries. Kathryn Morris indulges in a little baking-as-therapy in the new romantic fable “The Sweeter Side of Life.” (Hallmark, 9 and 11 p.m.)
