Joe Buck and Tim McCarver call the action as baseball’s best take the field at the “2013 MLB All-Star Game.” 4:30 p.m. Fox

Pioneering female sports reporters who braved men’s locker rooms, battled the old-boy network and refused to be sidelined get their due on a new “Nine for IX.” 5, 6 and 7 p.m. ESPN, 8 p.m. ESPN2

“Whose Line Is It Anyway?” Hopefully, Wayne Brady, Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie will have that sorted out when the improv-comedy series starts over with new host Aisha Tyler. 8 and 8:30 p.m. KTLA

“Mad Men’s” Jon Hamm will man the podium as host of the “2013 ESPYs” honoring top athletes from across the sports world. 6 p.m. ESPN

“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” again. Pre-tween pageant queen Alana Thompson and her kinfolk return in new episodes of this “Toddlers & Tiaras” spin-off. 9 and 9:30 p.m. TLC

If you hear a voice in your head telling you to pull some ill-advised prank in a very public place, maybe you’ve gone crazy. Or maybe, just maybe, you’re a contestant on the new hidden-camera show “Deal With It.” 10:30 p.m. TBS

The three-part series “Nazi Mega Weapons” begins with a survey of the miles of defensive structures erected to protect Hitler’s “Fortress Europe” from Allied invasion during WWII. 8 p.m. KOCE

“The Shaw Festival: Behind the Curtain” follows a Canadian repertory-theatre company as it prepares for an annual celebration of the works of irascible Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw. 9 p.m. KOCE

The cultural traditions and contemporary challenges of South Dakota’s Oglala Lakota tribe are detailed in “Bridge the Gap to Pine Ridge.” 10 p.m. KOCE

Where are they now? Catch up with former sitcom stars, reality show also-rans and assorted one-hit wonders in the new series “Miss U Much.” 10 p.m. VH1

SATURDAY

She’ll be the judge of that: Andie MacDowell plays a small-town jurist balancing work, family and romance in the TV movie “Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove.” 8 and 10 p.m. Hallmark

Jeremy Renner picks up where Matt Damon left off in 2012’s “The Bourne Legacy,” the fourth entry in the action franchise based on the Robert Ludlum novels. Edward Norton and Rachel Weisz also star. 8 p.m. HBO

“Party Down’s” Lizzy Caplan plays a bookstore manager suffering the slings and arrows of romantic misfortune in the bittersweet 2012 indie fable “Save the Date.” Alison Brie also stars. 8 p.m. Showtime
