Peter O’Toole is “Lawrence of Arabia” in David Lean’s 1962 epic, part of Turner Classic Movies’ monthlong Friday-night series commemorating the 100th anniversary of the start of WWI. 5 p.m. TCM

Forest Whitaker serves at the pleasure of several U.S. presidents in the fact-based 2013 drama “Lee Daniels’ The Butler.” 9 p.m. Showtime
