Just in time for Movember: Here comes bacon-scented mustache wax

Lip spinach with a side of bacon? That’s not such a tall order thanks to the latest product from the folks at J&D’s Foods -- a bacon-scented mustache wax that will add a dash of breakfast-meat bravado to your cookie duster.

Available starting Wednesday, it’s the latest in a long line of bacon-centric products from the Seattle-based company, including bacon-flavored mayonnaise (Baconnaise), bacon-scented lip balm and bacon-scented shaving cream.

The J&D’s folks tell us their latest pungent porcine product was developed in partnership with the Seattle Soap Shop (which, by the way, offers a bacon soap of its own) and is “handmade in small batches from the highest quality beeswax and petroleum jelly.” A 1-ounce tin retails for $12.99 and is available online.

And, since we’re in the middle of that monthlong charity mustache grow known as Movember, the J&D’s folks have pledged a dollar from the sale of each tin to the Movember Foundation, which works to raise funds and awareness for men’s health issues.

Guys following the strict Movember rules of growing a ‘stache -- and only a ‘stache -- from scratch always seem to come off looking a little cheesy. While there’s no guarantee a dollop of Bacon Moustache Wax will change that, if it doesn’t it’ll still go perfectly with the egg on your face.
