Another young design star right on Target

You have just convinced yourself there isn’t room for one more thing in your overstuffed closet. Then along comes a bunch of tasty new items at Target from a designer you’ve admired, but couldn’t quite afford. It’s hard to resist picking up just one more thing (or maybe two), when they cost no more than a nice lunch.

The latest young design star to produce a limited-edition Go International collection is Patrick Robinson. His line of casual summer clothes and accessories will be in stores and on www.target.com beginning Sunday.

Robinson attracted attention while designing for Anne Klein, Perry Ellis and Paco Rabanne. His eponymous line of classic sportswear was highly praised a few seasons ago, but it didn’t last long. The summery pieces Robinson created for Target include cute khaki shorts, cropped vests, print mini-dresses, crocheted cotton sweaters and bikinis priced from $12.99 to $44.99.

And if the run on Go International’s collections by Proenza Schouler, Paul & Joe, Luella Bartley and others is any indication, this might not be the Sunday to sleep in.
