You won’t see much ladylike Chanel at the Grammys, nor much understated Calvin Klein.

This is the red carpet after all, that brought us Lady Gaga arriving in an egg in 2011, Nicki Minaj in head-to-toe leopard the same year, and Jennifer Lopez in a famously gravity-defying plunge-front Versace gown in 2000.

This is the awards show of outrageous, or at least super-sexy, fashion statements. And so far tonight, the Grammys has been Italian fashion’s game.

Three best dressed ladies are flying the flag for Italian labels Versace and Emilio Pucci.

One is Gwen Stefani in a black Versace jumpsuit with sculptural, sparkly mesh at the neckline. Also in Versace, Ariana Grande is wearing a white, one-shoulder gown with silver chain-mail embellishment. Another best is Katharine McPhee in a peach crepe gown with a keyhole front, decorated with gold bars by Emilio Pucci. The gown fits her like a glove.

Keep the hits coming.
