Adam Perry Lang returns to the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ backlot with more barbecue
Barbecue king and cookbook author Adam Perry Lang is back, and he’s bringing short ribs. Lang will return to the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” backlot, where he’s popped up the last two years — with a Texas pit and more barbecue.
Lang will be cooking certified Angus beef prime rib and sliced beef ribs in a Texas pit with post oak and pecan wood. The barbecue will be served with a thick slice of Texas toast, spicy pickles and slivers of raw onion.
Lang will be serving his barbecue from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (or until he runs out) December 8,9,10 and 15,16,17.
And this time, he’s getting a little help from his chef friends. Lang says he’ll have Bruce Kalman from Union, Matty Matheson from Parts and Labor in Toronto and Riad Nasr from El Quijote in New York City, helping out on varying dates.
Lang promises outdoor seating with plenty of picnic tables where you can eat, relax and get your hands dirty.
All of the barbecue plates are $30, including tax, but Lang says donations are always welcome. That’s because proceeds from the sales will benefit L.A. Kitchen, a nonprofit that reclaims local food that would otherwise be discarded, provides healthful meals to those in need, and trains unemployed individuals for jobs.
