Three new Doritos Jacked flavors appeared on store shelves Monday, but we can’t tell you what they are. All three flavors of the tortilla chips, which are 40% bigger in size and thickness than regular Doritos, are a mystery.

The brand launched a new fan challenge called the Bold Flavor Experiment, asking people to try all three unidentified flavors and vote for their favorite, beginning April 29. The flavor with the most votes after 60 days will be brought back to store shelves this fall.

The flavors will be revealed later this summer, but some of our staff decided to taste the chips and guess the flavors. Here’s what we came up with.

For the yellow bag, we concluded caramelized Vidalia onion jam with cool ranch and lime. If you look closely at the chips, you can see what looks like some of the Doritos Cool Ranch red and green seasoning. They’re slightly sweet with a hint of lime. A look at the ingredients shows no actual onions, just onion powder. But there are molasses solids, lime juice solids and orange juice solids. If these really were caramelized-Vidalia-onion-jam-flavored, it would be the fanciest Doritos yet.

The blue bag tasted like mole. Some tasters detected cinnamon and even chocolate malt balls and maple syrup. The ingredients include paprika, brown sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa powder, butter and “natural bacon type flavor and natural smoke flavor.” Maybe mole-dipped bacon?

And the red bag, the spiciest of the three, tasted of vinegary hot sauce, with Sriracha and Tabasco and lingering notes of citrus. According to the ingredients list, there’s cayenne pepper sauce, sour cream, sugar, blue cheese and cheddar cheese. Not sure where we got the citrus flavor from. Maybe it’s a loaded spicy quesadilla flavor.

The Doritos Jacked chips are available in 10-ounce bags for $4.29 and 3.375-ounce bags for $1.49.
