Want to buy a wine-stained (sorry, wine-dyed) denim shirt?

Wineries are no longer content with churning out endless T-shirts and baseball caps and wine totes with their labels. Some make highly unattractive chairs from their old wine barrels. Others stock their gift shops with corkscrews, coasters, aprons, cheese boards, footballs, cowboy hats—and wineglasses etched with their logo.

And Robert Mondavi Private Selection? Following last year’s Woodzee sunglasses made with oak from retired wine barrels, comes this year’s wine-stained denim shirt.

Wine-stained? Well, I can claim that for any number of articles of clothing in my closet. The Robert Mondavi Private Selection x Crawford Denim Vintner Shirt is a little more controlled. Call it wine-dyed, as in a classic denim shirt from Crawford Denim with collar and cuffs lined in red cotton dyed with Robert Mondavi Private Selection Heritage Red Blend 2013.

In case you were wondering, that wine retails for $13 and is often discounted, so no big buck Cabernets were involved. Just a blend of Syrah and Merlot “with a touch of Zinfandel, Thompson Seedless, and Petite Sirah.” Thompson seedless?

You can purchase the quite handsome shirt for men or women, described as “versatile enough to wear dressed down in the vineyard tending vines or up for happy hour with friends” for $135 in December here.

Cool? Or not?

P.S. Those Woodzee sunglasses are still available here.
