Coming to the Taste: Judy Han

Share

Judy Han was raised in a restaurant family and grew up appreciating the value of good, simple food. That has served her well as chef and partner at the Mendocino Farms and Blue Cow restaurants, where the emphasis is on creatively constructed soups and sandwiches made using high-quality, locally grown products.

Han began her cooking career with Suzanne Goin at Lucques, then worked her way through the kitchens at such places as Sona, Grace, Koi and Literati II. In 2007, she began working with local farmers in the Mendocino Farms kitchen. That venture led her to Blue Cow, which is Mendocino Farms new full-service, sit-down restaurant in downtown L.A.

Han will be giving a cooking demonstration during the Labor Day Picnic portion of the Taste, Sept. 3. Tickets are $65 and are available, along with more information, at the Taste website.
