Mole Festival: How much do you like mole? The fifth annual Feria de los Moles Sunday at Olvera Street will give you a chance to find out. Billed as the largest Mexican food festival in the U.S., this year’s event will pit Puebla versus Oaxaca in a mole-off featuring local restaurants and vendors from each region. Team Puebla will include Delicias Poblanas, Elenitas Moles, Goyos Nieves, Mole de San Miguel Xaltepec, Mole Doña Kaelita, Mole Doña Socorro and Mole Santa María Nenetzinla. Team Oaxaca will have JJJ Burritos, Juquila Restaurant, Sabores de Oaxaca, Saby’s Cafe, Tacos Manzano and Tatiana’s Catering. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Olvera Street, north of downtown. There’s no admission, but food and drinks are for purchase.

And, yes, there will be polka -- from Igor Khramov and the Raving Polka Band. The event takes place on Sunday and will run from 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $69 and may be purchased at the restaurant or online. Fig, 101 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica.
