Twitter #Weekendeats highlights: Some serious spreads

Share

Most dips, spreads and cheeses taste better on a crusty piece of bread. During Monday morning’s #Weekendeats chat on Twitter, participants shared some serious spreads. And surprisingly, most of them were green. Here are the highlights:

Susan Orlins claims her hummus is “the best homemade hummus.” Try her recipe and decide for yourself. There is also a recipe for “black on black” hummus from the blog BananaWonder.com made with black sesame tahini.

Orly from the blog Yumivore.com shared a recipe for a vibrant green, spring pea and ricotta spread on crostini. The spread includes peas, shallots, garlic, lemon, tarragon and more over a crispy baguette.
