Garfield improves to 9-1 in league play and clinched the title with the win.
VALLEY MISSION LEAGUE
Reseda 4, Monroe 3
Host Reseda won the league championship for the second straight year. It is the first time Reseda has had a 10-0 league record. It finished 12-1 overall.
WEST VALLEY LEAGUE
Cleveland 5, Birmingham 2
Andrew Ong won, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 1 singles for host Cleveland (8-5, 5-5).
Monday, April 26
WEST VALLEY LEAGUE
El Camino Real 4, Taft 3
No. 1 singles player senior Joseph Tchan defeated senior Phil Geggenheim 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 to lead host Taft (8-6, 5-4), which also won No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Visitng El Camino Real (9-0 in league) won the No. 2, 3 and 4 singles and No. 3 doubles games.
WESTERN LEAGUE
Palisades 7, Venice 0
No. 1 singles player Ben Tom won 6-1, 6-1 to lead visiting Palisades (11-2, 10-0), which finished first in the Western League. Palisades has won all their matches 7-0 and without loosing a set.
Westchester 6, Fairfax 1
No.4 singles player sophomore Geoff Lee swept 6-3, 6-2 to lead host Westchester (8-5, 6-4). Fairfax is 3-10, 1-9.
