Carly de Anda swept No. 2 singles 7-6, 6-2, 6-3, to lead host Chaparral (4-4). Hemet is 4-6.

Santa Barbara 10, Corona del Mar 8
The Dons’ (5-1) doubles teams won six of nine points. Brooke Robertson and Kristen Franz, the No. 2 doubles team, came back to win a tiebreaker in their second set to put Santa Barbara, ranked No. 1 in Division II, up for good.

Jill Damion swept at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-2, 6-3, and Miranda Young and Ali Walters also swept for Corona del Mar, ranked No. 4 in the Division I coaches’ poll.

Jennifer Wahba, playing one spot up at No. 1 singles, won her matches by scores of 6-1, 6-1, 6-1, for Mira Costa (8-0, 1-0) at North Torrance (2-4, 0-1). Mira Costa is ranked eighth in Division I.

Tiffany Teerawatananont and Tiffany Liu swept in doubles, 7-5, 6-0, 6-4 for Peninsula (6-0, 1-0). South Torrance is 7-1, 0-1.

Anaheim Canyon 10, El Dorado 8
Anaheim Canyon won eight of nine sets in doubles as the Comanches edged El Dorado at El Dorado. Gracie Lin won three sets, 6-0, 7-5, 6-4, at No. 3 singles for El Dorado (13-2, 1-1), which won seven of nine sets in singles overall.

El Modena 15, Brea Olinda 3
Lisa Hardebeck and Sarah Sneta didn’t lose a single game in recording three singles matches each for El Modena (8-1, 2-0) in its victory at Brea Olinda (9-2, 0-2).

Katie Williamson and Esther Cheng won, 6-2, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 2 doubles to lead host Villa Park (4-2, 2-0) which won all nine of its doubles sets.

Irene Chen won two of three sets at No. 2 singles for Hart (1-6, 1-1) at Saugus. Hart’s No. 1 doubles team of Kelly Weston and Shannon Doherty won three sets, 6-0, 6-1, 6-0, to improve their record to 20-1 on the season. Their only loss has come against Hilary Schuster and Lindsey Whitaker, the No. 1 team for Buena. Sophomore Nadia Sakhakorn swept three sets by 6-0 scores for Saugus (2-5, 0-2).

FREEWAY LEAGUE

Fullerton 18, Buena Park 0
Natalie Vanier lost only two games in her three victories at No. 1 singles for Fullerton, which remained undefeated at 10-0 overall, as it won its league opener at Buena Park. Buena Park dropped to 2-3 overall and 0-1 in league.

Troy 18, Sunny Hills 0
Troy (6-2, 1-0), the No. 2-ranked team in Division II, got a breather at home as Cosmina Ciobanu, Alison Ramos and Clare Fermin lost only one game between them in nine singles victories.

Garden Grove 9, Bolsa 9 (Garden Grove wins on games, 81-76)
Tina Tran swept her No. 1 singles events without losing a game for visiting Garden Grove (5-4, 3-1). Bolsa is 7-2, 3-2 in league.

Estancia 10, Costa Mesa 8
The No. 3 doubles team of Maria Garcia and Uyen Le swept, 6-4, 7-6, 6-2, as the Eagles (4-6, 4-2) won six of nine doubles sets. Sara Stratton swept, 6-1, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 1 singles for Costa Mesa.

The No. 3 doubles team Vicki Andrade and Mercedes Vazquez swept, 6-0, 6-0, 6-2, to lead King (8-1, 1-0), which was able to substitute for many of its top players. Arlington falls to 9-2 overall, 1-1 in league.

Agoura 16, Royal 2
Blair Brzeski, Taylor French and Lauren Setar led a sweep in singles for Agoura (6-1, 3-1) in its victory over Royal (2-6, 0-4) at home.

Westlake 13, Newbury Park 5
Singles players Katie McGrath swept, 6-2, 6-1, 6-0, and Britta Blaine swept, 6-0, 6-2, 6-1, for Westlake (3-3, 2-2). The Warriors also got a doubles sweep from Kate Edwards and Marissa Cowan, who won 7-6 (7-4), 6-4, 6-1, in their sets. Newbury Park is 2-5, 1-3.

Calabasas 15, Moorpark 3

MONTVIEW LEAGUE

Gladstone 11, Sierra Vista 7
Offsetting six singles victories by Sierra Vista, Gladstone (6-2, 2-0) won eight of nine doubles matches led by the duos of Ibis Romero and Stephanie Perez and Perla Sanchez and Rachelle Arciega in a match between the league’s top teams at home. Romero and Perez won two of their matches at love and took their third match 6-3. Vanessa Acosta and Carol Nguyen each won three singles matches for Sierra Vista, now 1-1 in league.

OLYMPIC LEAGUE

Brentwood 10, Campbell Hall 8
Brentwood freshman No. 1 player Logan Hansen defeated Campbell Hall No. 1 Ally Krasnopolsky, 6-3, in a key singles match and the Eagles, the Southern Section III runner-up to Campbell Hall in 2003, upset the Vikings at Brentwood.

The Eagles’ victory snapped a 27-match winning streak by Campbell Hall (6-1, 1-1), which had suffered its last setback in a 10-8 loss to Brentwood in the Division III final in 2002.

Besides Hansen’s victory over Krasnopolsky, Brentwood also got another key victory from No. 3 singles player Jane Rosenthal, who dropped two sets on the day but defeated the Vikings’ Abby Gold, 6-3.

Gold was played in place of Campbell Hall’s regular No. 2 player, Lauren Shearer, who was out of town on a recruiting trip to Cornell.

Bianca Tobias and Jene Mendoza swept at Nos. 1 and 2 singles for Savanna (7-2, 2-0) while the No. 1 doubles team of Hanhtien Nguyen and Quynh Ngo also won three matches at Western (2-6, 1-1).

Daniela Lee won three sets, 6-3, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 2 singles and Anna Higane won, 7-6 (7-2), 6-0, 6-0, at No. 3 singles for Arcadia (9-0, 2-0), which defeated Crescenta Valley (4-4, 1-1) for the first time since 1999. Lisa Li and Alda Karic won 6-4, 7-6 (10-8), 6-4, at No. 1 doubles and the No. 2 team of Kristen Lee and Stephanie Garcia won, 6-1, 6-1, 6-2, as the Apaches won eight of nine doubles sets overall.

Hayley Young and Jamie Steele swept 6-4, 6-1, 6-2 for Corona del Mar (6-1, 1-0). Freshman Mcall Jones swept 6-2, 6-1, 6-2 for Tesoro (6-1, 0-1).

No. 3 singles player Julie Thorpe dropped only one game in winning three sets, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0, for Palm Desert (4-1) at Palm Desert. The Aztecs dropped only one game while winning all six sets in a dominating first round of round-robin competition, leading 36-1 in games at that point.

Four singles players lost only two games for El Modena (7-1, 1-0), which was led by No. 2 Sarah Smetana and No. 3 Ana Cottle, who swept three sets apiece at 6-0. Tustin dropped to 3-4, 0-1.

Villa Park 9, Anaheim Canyon 9 (Villa Park wins on games 87-76)
Tayrn Arnold and Julia Garofalo, the No. 3 doubles team, defeated Canyon’s No. 1 doubles team, 7-6 (7-4), late in the match to propel the Spartans to victory over Canyon (3-5, 0-1).

Dahra Zamudio and Sherie Lawson each swept their matches at No. 1 and No. 2 singles respectively for Villa Park (3-2, 1-0).

Costa Mesa 9, Orange 9 (Costa Mesa wins on games, 80-71)
Costa Mesa improved to 4-1 in league and 4-5 overall.

MARMONTE LEAGUE

Agoura 9, Newbury Park 9 (Agoura wins on games, 78-75)
Taylor French and Blair Brzeski swept convincingly at No. 1 and No. 2 singles to give the Chargers (5-1, 2-1) the victory over host Newbury Park (2-4, 1-2) on games.

French won, 6-1, 6-3, 6-3, and Brzeski triumphed, 6-1, 6-3, 6-2. Lauren Seta won two of her three sets, 6-2, 6-2, as well for Agoura. Amy Harris and Miranda Fox swept, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 1 doubles and Leah Smith and Shauna Dowis swept, 6-3, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 3 doubles to lead the Panthers.

Tied at 8-8, Thousand Oaks’ No. 1 singles player Danielle Erb defeated Diana Corwin, 6-2, and the No. 1 doubles tandem of Abhi Iyer and Mona Derentz won, 6-1, to lift Thousand Oaks (5-2, 3-0). Westlake dropped to 2-3, 1-2. In addition to No. 1 singles and doubles sweeping, No. 2 singles player Lauren Ritz also swept for Thousand Oaks.

Dana Hills 17, Capistrano Valley 1
Christina Tan led the way for the Dolphins (3-1, 1-0) with 6-2, 6-0, 6-0 victories in the league opener at Dana Hills. The Cougars dropped to 0-7, 0-1.

TRI-VALLEY LEAGUE

La Reina 14, St. Bonaventure 4

Brentwood (3-2), led by play of Stephanie Marlis and Amelia Rose, didn’t lose a set in doubles play.

Edison 11, Santa Margarita 7
The No. 1 doubles team of senior Lauren Boyer and junior Vi Truong won three sets, 6-2, 6-0, 6-1, for Edison (5-3) in a match at Edison.

Boyer was playing her first match in three weeks after suffering a strained right elbow, and Truong played despite feeling ill and vomiting during a changeover.

Sophomore Molly Scott won three sets, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 1 singles for Santa Margarita (3-3).

Harvard-Westlake 10, Santa Barbara 8
Harvard-Westlake, ranked No. 5 in Division I, narrowly beat the Dons (4-1), who are top-ranked in the Division II coaches poll.

The Wolverines (2-1) were led by Hilary Barte who swept, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles Amber Harper and Jennifer Kaswick who swept, 6-3, 6-1, 6-0.

Harvard-Westlake had five points from each singles and doubles.

Sisters Amy and Stacy Kaufman swept their No. 1 doubles sets, 6-2, 6-1, 6-1, and the No. 2 doubles team of Kelly Wong and Christina Le also swept, 6-0, 7-6 (3), 6-1, to lead Huntington Beach (5-0).

Los Alamitos 14, West Torrance 4
Grace Lee dropped only one game in sweeping at No. 3 singles for Los Alamitos (3-1), which went 9-0 in singles play.

Mira Costa 14, Marlborough 4
All three doubles teams swept for host Mira Costa. The No. 1 doubles team of Stephanie Guimera and Goldie Gurling took their sets, 6-4, 6-3, 6-1, to lead the Mustangs (11-1).

No. 3 singles player Caroline Bandy swept, 6-4, 6-1, 6-3, to lead visiting Nordhoff (4-1).

Stephanie Sykes and Laura Quesada swept in No. 3 doubles, 6-2, 6-0, 6-4, for the Wolves (7-1). Temecula Valley dropped to 5-3.

No. 3 doubles team of Jennifer Chow and Erica Liao swept, 6-2, 6-0, 6-2, to lead host Troy (3-2).

Natalie Call defeated Maya Morris, 6-4, in the last set of the day to give Woodbridge (4-3) the victory. Call won twice, and teammate Ashley Williams won three for the Warriors. Northwood dropped to 5-2.
