California olive oil: An article in the Sept. 3 Business section about proposed standards for California olive oil said that “pure” olive oil was extracted from a second pressing of olives and would have to be labeled “olive pomace oil.” It is a mixture of virgin and refined olive oils. Under the proposed rule, a label would have to identify the oil as a refined olive oil.

Ezell Ford funeral: An article in the Aug. 31 California section about the funeral service for Ezell Ford, a mentally ill man who was fatally shot during a confrontation with Los Angeles police, identified Mark Ridley-Thomas as a Los Angeles city councilman. Ridley-Thomas is a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.

Eva Longoria: An Aug. 31 article about actress Eva Longoria said that a documentary she produced, “Food Chains,” will open in late September. It will open in November.

Elena Ferrante: An Aug. 31 review of Elena Ferrante’s novel “Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay” said it is the last of her trilogy of “Neapolitan novels.” It’s the third of a quartet.
