Overrated/Underrated: In the Sept. 27 Calendar section, the Overrated/Underrated column referred to actress Taylor Schilling of “Orange Is the New Black” and “The Overnight” as Jennifer Schilling.

Charter schools: In the Sept. 26 Section A, an article about new state test scores and charter schools said that charter backers led by the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation seek to raise nearly half a million dollars to more than double the number of charters within eight years. The amount sought is nearly half a billion dollars.

Young clergy: In the Sept. 26 Section A, an article about the growing number of young clergy said that Sister Susan Francis Graham belonged to the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She belongs to the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Obama-Putin meeting: In some copies of the Sept. 25 Section A, an article about the forthcoming meeting of President Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the United Nations misstated the timing of a conversation between Obama and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. They spoke by phone after a U.N. meeting in 2013, not last year.

Valley fire: In the Sept. 20 California section, an article about the evolution of Northern California’s Valley fire included a statement by a Middletown resident who said he watched a patrolling law enforcement officer drive by and shoot his dog. The resident now says that he did not witness the shooting. The dog is recovering at UC Davis veterinary school.

American Apparel: In the Sept. 20 Business section, an article about American Apparel’s financial struggles quoted a statement from the company as saying NLRB complaints are examples of “habituational nuisance lawsuits” brought by Dov Charney and his associates. It should have said habitual nuisance lawsuits.

Fleeing Syria: In the Sept. 20 Section A, a map accompanying an article about the exodus of Syrian refugees misspelled Macedonia’s capital, Skopje, as Spokje.
