Teacher ratings: An article in the April 7 LATExtra section inviting L.A. Unified instructors to preview and comment on new teacher effectiveness ratings prepared by The Times said the ratings were available for those who taught third through fifth grades between 2003-04 and 2009-10. The ratings are actually available for teachers who taught between 2004-05 and 2009-10.
Surfer: An article on the film “Soul Surfer” in the April 7 Calendar section said that surfer Bethany Hamilton lost her right arm to a shark. She lost her left arm.
