Norton Simon exhibition: An article in the March 27 Arts & Books section about the Norton Simon Museum exhibition “Surface Truths: Abstract Painting in the Sixties” misspelled the last names of artists Hans Hofmann and Kenneth Noland as Hoffman and Nowland.

Connie Stevens: An article in the March 26 Calendar section about the directorial debut of singer-actress Connie Stevens misspelled the name of the film’s setting, Boonville, Mo., as Booneville.

“Harry’s Law”: The March 21 Calendar section erred in publishing a photo of Kathy Bates and Ben Chaplin with an article about the NBC series “Harry’s Law.” The scene depicted was from the pilot episode, which was never broadcast, and Chaplin was replaced by Nate Corddry as Bates’ costar. A review of the series, in the Jan. 17 Calendar, used the same photo.

Quake insurance: In the March 28 Section A, a Business article providing answers to common questions about earthquake insurance said Safeco Insurance was among companies that did not participate in the California Earthquake Authority and that offered their own supplemental earthquake policies. In fact, Safeco is a participant in the CEA and does not offer earthquake insurance separately. The article also said that earthquake policies come with a deductible of 10% to 15% of the value of the total damage. The deductibles are percentages of a home’s insured value.

Lakers’ playoff seeding: An article in the March 29 Sports section about the Lakers’ playoff prospects said the winner of the Lakers’ March 31 game with the Dallas Mavericks would own the first playoff tiebreaker between the teams. In fact, the Lakers currently hold the first tiebreaker because they are a division winner.
