Downtown jobs: An article in the Jan. 19 LATExtra section about businesses backing an expansion of jobs training for the homeless and disadvantaged said a nonprofit called Downtown Works was being formed to deliver the program and would be operated by Chrysalis, a group that offers such training. In fact, while Chrysalis will conduct the training, Downtown Works will be operated by the Central City Assn. of Los Angeles.

Alaska bears: An article in the Jan. 18 Section A about Alaska’s plans to reduce the number of bears and wolves said that the National Park Service was arguing that techniques such as snaring, baiting and trapping should not be used in federal wildlife refuges in Alaska. It should have said national preserves in the state.

Cruise ship accident: An article in the Jan. 17 Section A about the wreck of the Italian cruise ship Costa Concordia said that missing Americans Jerry and Barbara Heil are from Bear Lake, Minn. Their hometown is White Bear Lake.

Coffee maker: A Jan. 14 Home section article about the environmental impact of single-cup coffee makers said that the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s machine is named One Touch. The machine’s correct name is the CBTL.
