Grammy jazz categories: An article about the Grammy Awards’ jazz categories in the Jan. 19 Arts & Books section gave the last name of 1930s singer-trumpeter Valaida Snow as Smith.
Clippers and the West: In the Feb. 12 Sports section, a Clippers FYI item said that the San Antonio Spurs were in the third spot in the Western Conference, five games behind the leader Oklahoma City after losing to that team Tuesday night. In fact, it was Portland who lost to Oklahoma City, while San Antonio was idle and remained No. 2 in the West, four games behind Oklahoma City after Tuesday’s action.
Bhutan marathon: In the Jan. 12 Travel section, an item in Tours & Cruises column referred to a Feb. 23 marathon in the Himalayan nation of Bhutan as the country’s first such race. Other marathons have been run in Bhutan.
