2.7 quake strikes near Los Alamitos
A shallow magnitude 2.7 earthquake was reported Monday afternoon one mile from Los Alamitos, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 3:05 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 5.6 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was one mile from Rossmoor, Calif., two miles from Hawaiian Gardens, three miles from Signal Hill and 347 miles from Phoenix.
