A toddler taken by her father from a Placentia hotel was found Wednesday after authorities issued an Amber Alert, police said.
Tony Nicholas and his daughter Natalia, 2, were found in Anaheim, a few hours after Nicholas reportedly took the girl from a Best Western hotel in Placentia.
The pair were found at a Comfort Inn about 11:30 a.m., according to Kirsten Rowe of the Placentia Police Department. The father was being questioned.
The girl’s mother told authorities that a man she identified as Nicholas stole her purse and snatched the girl from the hotel room before taking off with the toddler in his pickup truck.
The California Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert and indicated the man might have been trying to leave the state.
No other details were immediately available Wednesday afternoon.
